A couple, Maddie, a paramedic, and her husband Frank, who receive a frantic late night phone call from their teenage daughter, Alice. Alice, having run away after a family argument, tells her parents that she has accidentally hit and possibly killed a pedestrian on a remote road. The film takes place almost entirely inside the parents’ car as they race to reach her, with the entire story unfolding through their conversations with Alice over the phone.
