Rosario Fuentes, a successful Wall Street stockbroker who has largely distanced herself from her immigrant roots and family. After her estranged grandmother, Griselda, dies, Rosario is called to her grandmother’s dilapidated Brooklyn apartment to stay with the body until an ambulance can arrive – a task complicated by a severe snowstorm.
